Privacy Policy

The short version: the Chrome extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere — it analyzes the page you're on, locally in your browser, only when you click it. The website only stores what you explicitly give it (an email address if you sign up for monitoring or reports).
Chrome extension
- The extension runs only when you click its icon, and only on the tab you're viewing.
- It reads the current page's HTML locally in your browser to compute an on-page SEO score. This analysis never leaves your device.
- It collects no personal data, browsing history, analytics, or telemetry. It makes no network requests.
- The only navigation to our website happens if you deliberately click a link in the popup (e.g. "run the full audit").
Website — what we store and why
- Audits: when you audit a URL, our server fetches that page to analyze it. We don't associate audits with you or store the page.
- Email subscriptions: if you sign up for monitoring, deal alerts, or an emailed report, we store your email address (and the URL you asked us to monitor) in our database (Cloudflare D1) and email you via our providers (Resend, SendGrid). Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe; unsubscribing stops all sends.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store only your email and subscription status to activate your plan.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles.
- Outbound link tracking: some tool links route through our redirect (/go/...) which counts clicks (timestamp, country, browser user-agent). No personal identification.
- Affiliate links: some recommendations are affiliate links, disclosed on-page. The destination site's privacy policy applies after you click.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or share your email or any personal data with third parties for their marketing.
- Use advertising trackers or third-party ad networks.
- Store payment card details.
Data retention & your rights
Subscription and monitoring data are kept while your subscription is active. Unsubscribe links deactivate your data immediately; to have it deleted entirely, or to ask anything about this policy, email privacy@auditseo.app and we'll action it within 30 days. Canadian residents are protected under PIPEDA; EEA visitors have equivalent GDPR rights (access, correction, erasure, portability).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and significant updates will be noted on this page.
